Microsoft Ignite 2019 is upon us, and the week is off to a fantastic start at the OCCC in Orlando, Florida.

For many the week started with travel this past weekend or even sooner, and for the many MVPs attending and speaking at the event had a great MVP PreDay leading into the event.  Of course I cannot disclose anything from the Pre-day, but rest assured much of what we learned with be publicly released as this week continues and during the upcoming months, so keep an eye out for all of the new news from Microsoft soon!

This year from the Community Side

For me Microsoft Ignite 2019 comes with much excitement.  This is the first year you will find MVP Community sessions with me as the speaker.  Truly an honor, and came after many years of not being selected.  Here are the details and times as it would be great to see you there!

Title:  IT burnout – the state of the industry panel

Have you been working non-stop and never taking a break? Do you go on vacation, but still find yourself working? Does your leadership expect you to be available all the time even when you are not on-call? Do you go home, answering email in between all of the family things going on that evening? Are you truly present in all the things you do?
Recently, my team conducted a survey about IT burnout to get a real sense of how IT professionals are functioning and managing their personal well-being. We learned some interesting things that will surprise you, and have some statistics you won’t want to miss. Join me and a panel of MVPs to have a discussion on this tough topic.

Going a step further into advanced security, we dive into DMARC, DKIM and SPF and how implementation can heighten your security even further.
The community activities don’t end there.  There are multiple networking breakfasts in the morning, and several evening events that I likely won’t miss either.
For anyone attending also spend some time in the Expo hall, it is here that all the evening activities come to light!  Be sure to do some networking to make the most of your Microsoft Ignite 2019.

It doesn’t end there!

Where time allows I am looking forward to seeing and catching up with community friends, meeting new people, and finding some sessions on Office 365, Teams, Azure, and Microsoft Exchange!  Look forward to some future posts where I share some of my key event takeaways.
Cheers!
